A nice sunny day in town for our vigil today.
One gentleman came over and, although he couldn’t stop for long to chat, was keen to make a donation and gave £20. Another person gave us the thumbs-up as they passed by. There was very little in the way of negative comments, other than one man, who, rather bizarrely, shouted at us for not supporting the Reform UK political party.
So is mainstream public opinion finally turning against the genocide? In the past, our vigils received a lot of opposition and we faced significant amounts of unprovoked abuse from people walking past. The very idea of anyone stopping to donate would have once been laughable. Now it’s happened 3 weeks in a row, and more people are thanking us than criticizing us.
